Garlic roasted green beans make a great side dish for any meal. You could easily prepare them in advance and pop them in the oven to roast shortly before your meal. You only need a few ingredients for this tasty veggie dish!

Green beans are one of my favorite vegetables and good, roasted green beans can be eaten like French fries.

Roasting brings out such nice flavors in vegetables and is especially comforting in the winter months.

The garlic has some wonderful health benefits including reducing blood pressure and  cholesterol and boosting the immune system. All that and great flavor! Yippee!

You can read more about the health benefits of garlic here and here.

All you need to make this delicious side dish is green beans, olive oil and some garlic herb seasoning. Super simple, right?

I got this giant shaker of garlic herb seasoning from Costco, but really any blend you like or can find should work well.

Here’s how to make garlic roasted green beans-

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rinse and dry your green beans.

Trim the green beans. I just cut off the ends, they don’t have to be the same length. If you’d prefer them to be the same size you can cut them to look uniform.

Place your trimmed green beans on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Sprinkle on garlic herb seasoning to your liking.

Use tongs or carefully shake the pan to gently mix up the beans and coat them evenly.

Roast the beans at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 – 20 minutes.

They are ready to serve immediately. You can add them to a serving dish or add them directly to your plates.

If you’d like a little more char on the beans, you could pop them under the broiler for a minute or two. Just be sure to keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.

For this dinner we served them with buttermilk fried chicken strips and mashed sweet potatoes.

I hope you try this garlic roasted green bean recipe. It’s so easy and the flavors are delish!

Enjoy!
