Want an easy guacamole recipe that you can whip up in minutes? This recipe can be made for a fast snack or to accompany your lunch or dinner. It’s delicious with tortilla chips, as a taco topping, or on a burrito bowl.

Aldi has some lime tortilla chips that are so yummy with this recipe. They have more than a hint of lime, in the best way.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1 Tbs red onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • salt, garlic pepper, cayenne

Easy Guacamole Directions:

Half and core your avocado.

Scoop out the insides into a bowl.

Add the chopped onion, lime juice, and seasonings to taste.

I really like using this garlic pepper. It contains several types of pepper in addition to the garlic. It’s also difficult to find in stores- garlic salt is easier to find, but we try not to overdo the salt. The McCormick garlic pepper is another good option.

Mash all together until desired consistency. I use a fork until the avocado is slightly chunky but spreadable.

Optional- add some diced tomato or a spoonful of salsa if that tickles your fancy.

Enjoy! This guacamole is yummy with tacos, chips, or crackers. Try it on toasted sweet potato slices or spread on some toast and top with a fried egg for a filling breakfast.

One quick hack-

I don’t use a whole red onion for most recipes, how about you?

So when I do bring home a red onion I chop up the whole thing and freeze the unused portion. Then when I get a craving for this guacamole I just sprinkle a spoonful into the bowl I’ll be using.

The chopped onion defrosts while I gather the other ingredients and when I mash them all together.

Enjoy Your Easy Guacamole!

I like to make this easy guacamole when I’m home for lunch but don’t want to spend much time cooking. And sometimes you just get a craving for some guac, ya know?

The trickiest part for me is waiting until our avocados are ripe, but before they go bad. You could make this recipe in advance and freeze portions for later. Or save some to add to an easy breakfast wrap!

Let me know what else you like to pair with guacamole in the comments section.

Enjoy!
